Squirrels
Squirrels, although delightful to watch in the garden, are the most highly destructive of pests. Once a dray (a squirrel's nest) is established in a loft or roof space they will do tremendous damage, often to electrical wiring. Their teeth can penetrate mild steel. Humane Trapping is usually the best solution. Poisoning of squirrels is illegal in most situations. It is illegal to release a trapped grey squirrel into the wild as the imported grey has almost rendered our native red squirrel extinct in the UK.
